Anchorless is first and foremost a fantastic band playing some really catchy songs in the vein of The Shins, R.E.M. and The Smiths.
In 2010 Anchorless released the selftitled Anchorless EP on Vinyl and (Free) Download.
In the summer of 2011 Anchorless began the recordings of their debut album. They had decided to keep the recodings under their own full controll and since Jakob Reichert Nielsen from the band is a well respected producer (Rising, Lack, Obstacles and Trust) it was a obvious choice to let him record and mix the album. 6 months later Anchorless are ready with their first full length album. Nine songs recorded with energy and passion and an album not afraid to admit that it's all about good pop songs.

Having perfected the controlled, well-structured output on their last album "Dividual" – a relentless musical assault of tightness and timing - the band felt an urge to tackle the song-writing in a completely different way. Loosing up, Letting go. Trying to make the impossible, possible by making complex music flow in a more free form. After a swift and spontaneous writing-process, 4 tracks were ready to be captured. Obstacles teamed up with their friend Sune Kaarsberg to begin the recordings of Oscillate in their studio. This was a very dynamic process filled with experiments in sound and form. The result is breathtaking. Like being caught in a beautiful storm where chaos and energy reigns.
While still somewhat futuristic in its aesthetics, Oscillate can also be considered a nod back to a hazy forgotten past, paying homage to legends of prog-rock and jazz-fusion whilst still maintaining the punchiness and vigor of their previous releases.

Bjørst is a collaboration between singer Lill Rastad Bjørst(Siku) and guitarist Jacob Krogholt(Rising). Bjørst is the first band on Play/Rec with Danish lyrics and in that sense they might differ a bit from other Play/Rec artists. But Bjørst make music without compromises and in that sense they fit right in. Expect dark, deep-felt songs that take their departure somewhere between rock and traditional danish singer-songwriting.

Hailing from Copenhagen Denmark, Trust is a two-piece formed in late 2008 - Guitar and drums meshed together in complex melody-lines and blistering heaviness to form an all out sonic assault on the hearing apparatus of the listener. With an ever increasing fleet of strange, homemade amplifier-configurations, speaker cabinets and broken drumsticks, this duo produce a massive spark of energy through which a certain quantum of lyrics addressing topics such as mythical space trips and the destructive forces of nature is delivered.
“From Light into Mass” is the debut album by Trust that follows up on two massive 7”s and it wont let you down.
The album is produced and mixed by Jakob Nielsen (Menfolk, Obstacles, Rising, Lack) and mastered by the renowned West West Side Music.

Disintegration Blues sounds more compelling and more beautiful than anything else we´ve heard these past few years. There has always been a certain, dare we say, authencity in Greg´s music, but to our ears Disintegration Blues sounds more straight from the heart than his previous recordings. These songs are rough around the edges, lyrics are direct and distinct, and there´s a tremor in Greg´s voice that convinces us that Greg has made his best album to date.
