Internationally acclaimed as one of the "Best Albums of 2009"; a favorite of independent broadcasters from the Heartland of the USA to the soulful streets of London; and beyond! With this, his second recording, as a leader, Tony Bunn has developed a sound and a style that point to a completely new direction for Jazz; one with echoes of a rich past, as it boldly heads toward a glowing future.
Visionary. Extreme Bassist. Inventor. Mathematician. Rocket Scientist. Criminal who aspires to Sainthood. Continuously Regenerative Musical Outlaw. Taoist Sub-master. Jazzman. Rocker. Sexual Healer. Madman!
Tony has always been successful at somehow magically slipping out of the boxes in which others would attempt to confine him. During his first professional tour of duty, as the electric bassist for Sun Ra's Arkestra, he was dubbed one of "Them Freedom Boys" by the Dark Master himself. No truer words were ever spoken. And that comment was to be understood to be not such a good thing --- for freedom lacking discpline results in slavery. Freedom informed by discpline becomes magical life, i.e. LOVE. Since that initiation, truly a trial by fire, Tony has spent his life developing the spiritual and mental discpline necessary to broadcast LOVE throughout this shared existence.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, who began his journey into musicality in the fourth grade, he recalls, "I wanted to play saxophone like Maceo (Parker). I loved his sound with James Brown. However, the only...

Independent Singer and Songwriter Bashiyra brings a wealth of captivating artistry to the music industry, having performed backing vocals for artists such as Patti Labelle, Michael Bolton, Diana Ross and Queen. In 1993 Bashiyra enjoyed Top 10 success with her release 'I Will Always Love You', a Reggae single on the Jet Star Reggae Distribution Chart which led to several personal appearances in the UK, including London's Apollo Theatre and major music venues in Philadelphia, USA. Whilst experiencing this solo success, Bashiyra was approached and engaged as a songwriter, by the production and songwriting team of 'Gamble and Huff', the US based producers for the likes of Stephanie Mills.
Later on in 2003 Bashiyra also co-founded the creative arts organization 'ITA' which was set up to encourage people of different cultures to learn about each other through music, song and literacy arts. That same year saw another release and chart success in Europe with the single 'Island In The Rain' followed by the release of 'U Know I Love It', on the album 'Wowie Zowie' by SuperChumbo aka KISS FM DJ Tom Stephan in 2005. Projects later that year took her to Europe and Africa, where her talents were demonstrated on both stage and studio to delighted audiences young and old. In June 2005 Bashiyra performed at The Hackney Empire at 'The Festival of Black Female Voices', where she won the nomination for 'Aspiring Black Female Singer 2005', which recognised the substantial contribution made...

Marilyn Ashford-Brown isn't at all moved or caught up in the glamour of the business. She just simply wants to sing, doing what she loves doing more than anything else in the world. She once read a quote from actor, Harrison Ford, which has stayed with her for many years. It stated: "It's the people who get on the bus, and stay on it, who are successful, not the ones who get off".Well, she has been on the bus for almost three decades. The passengers who started the journey with her, got off early, but, she stayed on, and the ride has been much too long to turn back now.
Soul Tracks September 2009
No matter what folks may have you believe, there is actually no such thing as an 'overnight success.' For every comedian who gets that career-defining film cameo, there are others who are just as hilarious and camera-ready still struggling in the clubs. For every performer who's debut release hits number one, there are peers who are equally as talented, yet don't get their shine until that well-produced or better-promoted sophomore set. Exemplifying this reality is singer and songwriter Marilyn Ashford Brown, whose third CD, Just Doing Me!, finally packages her gifts in the crisp, contemporary wrapping that they deserve.

Washington Post September 2009
THE WASHINGTON POST SAYS "Marilyn Ashford Brown isn't the sort of R&B vocalist who need to rely on songwriters for inspiration, and her output almost always seems tailor-made to suit her talents an...

"R U Down," the first single from Mo Pleasure´s forthcoming album.
"Mo`Elements of Pleasure," features the legendary vocals of Temptations
former lead singer Ali Woodson. The single is a sexy soul groove with a contemporary-classic groove that is quickly becoming Pleasure's trademark! The track, written by Leroy Chambers and produced by Chambers, Pleasure and Jimi Randolph, blends vintage flourishes like Pleasure´s Wurlitzer chords and strings with a hot contemporary groove. Adrienne Townes is a woman that once you have met, you will never forget. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She was a theater brat and the daughter of a locally renowned actress, singer and television star, Joan Coursey. She naturally inherited her mother's good looks, stage presence and articulation but her singing voice is totally her own. The Arena Players, the oldest black theater in the United States is where she started singing and acting in plays and musicals. She also grew up performing in the church.
Adrienne continued acting and singing throughout her teen years and into adulthood. In college, she minored in voice. She used her motivating spirit to form a band to showcase her voice and walk away with the title of the first Black Miss Frostburg State University. Since that time she has done numerous national commercials and also been in several movies.

The first solo CD by Swedish bassplayer Johannes Zetterberg. West Coast fusion in the vein of Dave Weckl, Yellowjackets, Karizma etc.
Featuring: Aron Mellergårdh (Drums); Jay Oliver (Keyboard); Erik Linder (Guitars); Jens Filipsson (Alto Saxophone); Jonathan Fritzén (Keyboard); Jonas Isaksson (Guitar); Eric Marienthal (Alto Saxophone); Arvid Svenungsson (Keyboards); Calle Stålenbring (Guitar); Jason Rebello (Keyboard); Andreas Ekstedt (Percussion); Otmaro Ruiz (Keyboard).
Johannes Zetterberg was born November 17th, 1985, in Stockholm, Sweden. Born to musical parents, he was exposed to a lot of music at an early age.
"Well, being that my father's a countertenor with a soft spot for Oscar Peterson, I guess I quickly learned to appreciate classical music & jazz. On the other hand, there were groups & artists like Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Toto, Chicago & lots of others, whom I found on my mother's mixtapes. It was like discovering a gold mine with all kinds of cool music, ranging from the hits of the 60's to the boy bands of the 90's! So yeah, it got pretty diverse right from the get-go."
He started playing the bass at twelve, and fell in love with the instrument right away. Around the same time he got introduced to Metallica & Yngwie Malmsteen by a friend, and that would turn out to widen his already eclectic taste in music, adding to the mix groups like Testament, Slayer, At the Gates, Opeth & The Haunted.
2009 sees the release of hi...
