Mathias Algotsson, born 1971 in Stockholm. Pianist and composer. Conducts his own trio, and is a co-leader of the duo with trumpetplayer Johan Setterlind and the duo with singer Linda Pettersson. Is working/have worked with artists and musicians such as Ed Thigpen, Magnus Lindgren (Quartet, w/Orchestra, Radiojazzgruppen), Rigmor Gustafsson, Barbara Hendricks, Georg Riedel, Lisa Ekdahl, Bengt-Arne Wallin, Rolf Ericson, Bernt Rosengren, Viktoria Tolstoy, Claes Janson, Svante Thuresson, Jesper Thilo, and many more. Also present on various recordings, both as a pianist and composer. Mathias has received a number of awards during the years and in 2007 he got the Arne Domnérus award "Guldsaxen".
