LUNDSTEN, RALPH, b. 6 Oct. 1936 at Ersnäs, Sweden. Composer; Film maker, Artist, Author, Cultural Ambassador. Owner since 1959 of Sweden's most famous picture and electronic music studio, Andromeda, including the Love Machine and other invented genial synthesisers. The fan club, Andromeda Fan Society was founded in 1982.
CAREER: More than 600 opus and 110 records, 12 short films, art exhibiti-ons, a book with CD "Lustbarheter", work for the Opera Houses in Stockholm and Oslo, the Modern Museum and the National Museum in Stockholm, the Louvre and the Biennale in Paris, the Triennale in Milano and the Museum of Contempo-rary Crafts in New York etc. Subject of a number of radio and TV portraits and a special portrait exhibition at the Music Museum in Stockholm 1991-1992 and 2000. Ralph Lundstengården in Ersnäs, northern Sweden, has a permanent exhibition about Lundsten.

In the Guinness World Records 2000 Lundsten's composition: Out in the Wide World (the Radio Sweden theme) been chosen as “the most played musical composition”.
HONOURS: Grand Prix Biennale, Paris, France, 1967; the Swedish Film Institute prize 1964-1967 and about 40 other awards for music and filmmaking. In 1997 in Germany, Ralph Lundsten was awarded the Schwingungen Preis, the “Oscar of Electronic Music”. Cultural Ambassador for Luleå 1999, Member of the London Diplomatic Academy, 2000 (Composer & Cultural Ambassador), winner of the Albert Schweitzer Medal for Science and Peace 50th Anniversary Nobel Prize of Peace 2004.
