A multi instrumentalist and crucially, an extensive traveller who throughout his creative life, has endeavoured to seek out and collect sounds and images from the world over, Kama Aina aka Takuji Aoyagi is entirely unique in his approach to music.
The concept behind Kama Aina’s 5th album ‘Club Kama Aina’, is focused on the wanderer – it is a kind of rumination on travelling, if you will. It is intended as an imaginary ‘club’ where Kama Aina and his fellow artists (Isobel Campbell, The Pastels and Bill Wells, full track-list below) play music for those who are, at heart, travelers: - those restless, curious, thoughtful folk. It is a record of a profoundly ‘natural’ yet divine beauty.
Instruments played by Kama Aina on the album:
taisho goto (japanese harp), guitar banjo, spanish guitar, drums, cymbals, percussion, accordion, piano, electone (japanese organ), pianica, xylophone
