The classic David & the Citizens album. So fresh after all these years. Cut in only 10 days, mixed and everything. The sound is built on a sing/songwriter feel, with added toy instruments, brass, mouth-organ and rattle, to create songs that veer between melancholy and exhilarated delight, waltz, dixieland jazz and tango. It's probably best not to make any categorizations at all. You find it all there. Voted best album of the year by numerous at the end of 2002.
