1986
The year that the first 22:22 song was made. Back in his childhood bedroom in Dalecarlia, Sweden 12-year-old Daniel was rapping “I’m coming from Bronx” over an instrumental version of “Blue Monday” by New Order.
20 years later
Nothing has happened. 22:22 now create songs without consideration to what’s expected, gladly allowing themselves to lose control over preconceived ideas. The group consists of childhood friends Daniel, Erik and Daniel.
There is an element of escapism in the music of 22:22 that also exists in the lyrics. On the debut album "Where to go?", everything revolves around the theme of moving, either to cities, countries or simply states of mind.
