  • Cesar Urbina starts working as Cubenx in early 2005 producing a sound that pays tribute to his influences, both musical and geographic, as he lives in the pacific coast.
Heavily influenced by post-punk and german techno,Cubenx's sound explores the melodic side of minimal techno and combines the nostalgic feeling of pop music to create songs for the dancefloor. Instead of pure tool tracks for Djs, his tracks could be listened and danced.
In 2006 he released his first track "Glandula" in the Static Discos compilation "Lucky Stock". Starting to work with the Tijuana based label he also brought the connection with the minimal techno producer Fax, who invited him to his netlabel Cyan Recs and released "Turquoise".
In 2007 he released his first vinyl on the label in fine from france with the support of artists like james holden and mikael mayer, watch out for this great upcoming talent from mexico that surely will bring lots of great moments to electronic music in the near future.
