    The story behind REANIMATIONS:

    As you can see, this is not a new full length album by AVULSED… so what’s this?? It’s not an album because it only has 3 AVULSED songs, it’s not a mini CD because it has 15 songs, it’s not a compilation CD because it has new songs, covers, AVULSED covers… We must admit this is a pretty weird CD but at the same time it’s something original, don’t you think so?? A perfect apetizer between one album and another!!

    This CD came out like an accidental consequence from our original idea that was doing a double CD. One with live songs and other with only cover songs. We were going to cover like 15 songs from many varied styles and in fact we were already working on it, but seeing that this would take most of time from the composition process of new songs for a new album, we decided to skip that idea. At the same time, we got interest from Relapse Records to be a part of some split 7”EP series and they told us to do two new songs for that, so… we immediately started to work on it, but after some months, it looked like that label skipped that idea too and we found ourselves with two new songs, a bunch of covers (the three ones you have here plus some others from DESTRUCTION, DEATH, KING DIAMOND, D.R.I….), so we decided to do a mini CD with our two new songs, a remake of a very old song from our first demo ’92 and three cover songs that would represent the three most influential styles in our music: Death, Thrash & Heavy Metal.
