"Lilies at the Doorway" is the debut album of GIFTS IN SECRET, led by Fossil Dungeon owner Mike's wife, Beth. Beth's music establishes an atmosphere simple in its folk-like melody yet wrought with a sense of the nostalgic and melancholic.
Inspired by her creations, Mike interprets her work to form an artful myriad of sounds, organic in their genesis and intimate in their expression. What results is an ethereal and raw blend of textures, guitar and simple beats met with Beth's spectral vocals and an occasional hint of their appreciation for 80's music.
A CD edition of this release is due on Intuition Records (Russia) in late 2008, featuring two alternative tracks not included on this version of the album!
