  • Biker boys version of the Peter Sarstedt classic!

  • This is the second single from Andreas Tilliander’s new album ”Show” a somewhat deep house experiment topped with the singer in Scandinavia’s biggest band – Jocke Berg from kent.

Jocke Berg makes a rare vocal contribution with another artist than his own band. When Familjen, where Andreas is live musician, was touring with Kent in the spring of 2007 Jocke Berg heard one of the sketches for a song, later to be included on the new album. Jocke complained about never being requested to sing on other artists’ songs, so Andreas said “why don’t you sing for me?”, to which he agreed! One week later he had written a melody and a lyric.

You can really hear how his voice really melts in with the analog synth sound. Best recognized when Andreas just plays with his voice in guttural sounds. Jocke has a really nice voice. Yes he has.

The fact that Andreas has chosen to cooperate with indie singers and musicians instead of artists from the techno and house genre was not a deliberate strategy, according to Andreas.
    - I didn’t intend to do a crossover. I have worked with them because I know them and like them both as persons and as musicians. I trust them and like spending time with them, and the result is like i want an Andreas Tilliander song to be.

Featured on the single is a Radio Edit, for all you radios stations that are to scared to play the 7 min original album version (also featured), and a Deitroit Familjen remix. Finishing the single does Skavsta; a little more off, a little dirtier, a little more inconvenient.

  • “You Knew I Was Trouble From the Start” is the second single from The Fine Arts Showcase fourth album, the critically acclaimed – “Dolophine Smile”. The track is a duet between singer Gustaf Kjellvander and the British song bird Theoretical Girl.

“We met when we both were touring together on the “Song-slam tour” in Germany. We quickly became good friends and played a lot together during those two-weeks. I really liked the way our voices fit together so I wrote the song with her voice in mind.” Gustaf says and continues: “We write the same kind of music: good honest pop songs plus we both have virtually the same taste in music.”

“You Knew I Was Trouble From the Start” is a duet in the Gram Parson/Emmylou Harris tradition but with barbwire guitars that wrap-around and smoothly caress the two singers characteristic voices.

  • The king of Swedish electronic music is back on the throne! With “Show”, Andreas Tilliander takes his music one step further. His dub influences have become more obvious and the sound is darker and crispier without losing the warmth. Maybe this is because “Show” was recorded using old analogue synthesizers and hardware. David Fransson from Division of Laura Lee/New Moscow sings on three of the tracks. Other guests include Jocke Berg and Martin Sköld from Kent. Jocke Berg makes a rare vocal contribution with another artist than his own band. Other guest vocalists includes legendary Swedish magician Henric de la Cour (Yvonne/Strip Music) and Familjen, that pays back for all the miles Andreas has travelled with him, as live musicians on Familjen tours.

Facts: Andreas Tilliander first made an international name for himself with his debut album “Ljud” (2001) on the legendary electronica label Mille Plateaux. After that he made a second album which was released on the same label, “Elit” (2002). His third album, “World Industries” (2004), was released by the Swedish label Pluxemburg and licensed to German Resopal and Japanese Poplot. Andreas has also released music under his aliases Mokira, Komp and Lowfour. He has also played in the bands Bulgur Brothers, Minimalistic Sweden and Familjen.
